The Mystery of the Mist ( Commentary on Sherlock Holmes )

Sherlock was sitting at home reading a book. Watson was a doctor. Tell me, should Watson have doctored or covered this stretch? Watson must be thinking, why did I befriend him? Sherlock’s other bad habit is going to other people’s houses late at night and waking them up. Now Watson tolerates Watson as a friend. But how can anyone else tolerate it. Will you come to ask questions at night because you are a spy? Let people sleep peacefully at night, come in the morning. Doesn’t sleep himself and doesn’t let others sleep either. Watson doesn’t think Holmes’s health is important. No matter how many cigarettes Holmes smokes, Watson does nothing. Oh, so Holmes won’t get cancer.

Even today he was sitting reading a book as told to me, if not in his own house, this Saheb would be sitting reading in other people’s houses. I tell you the name of the book; Otherwise you go to Holmes to ask. Holmes’ Favorite Book – ‘Mysterious World’. Then Watson came. He looked happy today. Fewer patients will probably come. Watson said, did Holmes get a new case today? But Holmes said nothing. Holmes thinks the rider has a new case. After a while, Holmes said, a man’s house has been burgled and he lives in Ooty. Once he looked, suddenly it was very foggy that day, so the man could not see the thief. The thief came with a stone. It is a case that he threatened the man and stole. The thief liked to see Holmes lost in thought most of the time. But now this sir will go and ask night after night. Watson said the case was very interesting. Watson continued, But why did the thief come with the stone? (To find the answer to this question, Holmes will go to the thief’s house even at night) Holmes said, his purpose would be to scare. (And these are intended for smoking cigarettes).

Holmes and Watson went to the house of the man whose house had been stolen. His wife and daughter were outside the village when the man’s name was Jagtap (hey sahib gives head fever). Jagtap said, I have robbed, you catch the thief quickly. His wife and daughter had come. (Who knows why? But now Holmes will ask a lot of questions). Holmes began to ask questions. How is your relationship with your wife? Jagtap said, they are fine. Sometimes there is a fight. Where did you keep your money? Jagtap pointed to the cupboard behind him and said, in that cupboard. Holmes and Watson went to the closet. Holmes asked the next question, Who has the key to your closet? Jagtap replied to my son-in-law i.e. Arvind. Holmes said, Where does this Arvind live? At this time, Jagtap’s wife Sanjana said, Arvind lives in a poor house, he is very good natured. He always drinks tea at Mangesh’s tea shop.(Jagtap must be tired of most of Holmes’s questions so his wife answers Holmes’ question). At that time Doctor Watson said, will you give the photo of Mangesh and Arvind? (Now should there be a photo in the house or not to give it) Jagtap said take the photo of both of them, the first photo is of Arvind and the second one is of Teawala. Arvind himself took the photo of the tea shop. It was two o’clock in the afternoon when Holmes and Watson left Jagtap’s house.

Holmes said to Watson, “I come to ask the tea-boy a question.” (Because Watson would have been hungry during the interrogation, Holmes would have had dinner later). Watson had a non-veg meal at a restaurant, a good chicken tandoori. (Doctors tell people not to eat non-veg but eat themselves in hotels). Watson was waiting for Holmes after eating. An hour passed but there was no sign of Holmes coming. Watson finally left the hotel. While searching, Watson found a cup of tea. There stood Holmes. Holmes saw Watson and approached Watson. Holmes said that Watson had seen Arvind going to Jagtap’s house the day before, the day of the theft, as a tea shop. When I showed him the photo, he recognized Arvind. Watson said, did you show him Arvind’s photo? Did he recognize Arvind?

Arvind drinks tea with Mangesh every day. I think Arvind must be talking to Mangesh while drinking tea. Perhaps if Arvind had committed the theft, he would have implicated Mangesh in the theft. Holmes said that Arvind’s motive for marrying Jagtap’s daughter must have been sinister, that Jagtap himself had shown him all the mines in the house, and that Arvind had stolen when he saw Jagtap alone in the house. Saying let’s go to Arvind’s house, we went to Modkya Al. He sees Arvind lying on the floor in the house and there is a wound on his hand, which seems to have been done recently. Arvind saw us and stepped back. Arvind said in fear, are you Sharad’s men? Did Sharad send you? Then Sharad stabbed me in the hand and now he sent you? No autumn sent us, said Sherlock Holmes. We have come because you have stolen from Jagtap’s house. Arvind smiled and said, Jagtap’s nickname is Sharad, Jagtap himself told me that you steal on Saturday. Holmes and Watson were surprised. The theft happened Saturday, Holmes said. This is right. I read somewhere several years ago that Jagtap aka Sharad has escaped from jail. Now remember, this is the world. That is, if Jagtap’s intention to arrange Arvind’s marriage with his own daughter was to show Arvind all the mines in his house. So Arvind can steal. Arvind smiled and said, I played a drama with you so that you would think who is Sharad? And you should know nothing. Jagtap is our boss. He came as per our plan before you came and stabbed me in the hand. Dr. Watson said, “We mean you and Jagtap, don’t we?” Arvind said, no. Listen carefully to Doctor Watson and Sherlock Holmes. We mean, me, Mangesh and Jagtap. So I used to talk to Mangesh about the plan over tea. Holmes says I will call the police, they will catch you, Jagtap and Mangesh. But how do you know our names? We didn’t tell you our names. Arvind smiled and said, I had adopted the name Mangesh. I lied to you that I used to talk to Mangesh. When you came to me, you told me your name and that of Dr. Watson. We don’t have any companion named Mangesh. Holmes called the police. The police caught Jagtap and Arvind and put them in jail. Holmes and Watson went to their respective homes. Tell me if you like the story.
